Bufferzone was set up in 2006 and since that time the team, headed up by Tony Lea, has helped over 383 vulnerable people, throughout Cornwall.. Bufferzone has a great deal of experience of the issues that affect vulnerable people with mental health issues both as service users and as advocates for service users. Because of this experience you will receive an empathetic service from people who know what it is like to need an independent voice when dealing with their issues.
Bufferzone are independent we receive self referrals as well as referrals from statutory and voluntary service providers. Since April 2008 Bufferzone has been awarded grants from UNLTD Millennium Fund and Awards for All. Bufferzone is;
A constituted committee, with meetings, AGM's etc.
We have all insurances and policies in place.
We are also Affiliated to Mid Cornwall Lifestyles and Attend.
The funding has been from Scarman Trust,Southwest Foundation, UNLTD Millenium Awards and Awards For All.
We also have monitoring and evaluation procedures in place.
